He invented Argentina's first social network and now his new company helps others give employees what they ask for most: what's the business
This new company from one of the founders of Taringa seeks to solve the talent retention problem that companies face today.
Taringa! is the most important social network to emerge from Argentina, with over 30 million registered users currently, which is why companies backed by its founders always draw attention.
The latest of these is Maslow, the new project launched by Matías Botbol, co-founder and former CEO of Taringa, which focuses on solving the talent loss problem that almost all companies face today.
How Maslow works
Botbol identifies an outdated approach to compensation: "The way compensation works and salary negotiation are the same as 50 years ago."
Maslow operates on three fundamental pillars: a variable compensation planning system, a dialogue channel between employees and companies about available benefits, and a marketplace where employees select their preferred compensation.
The platform allows each company to decide which benefits to offer, while employees choose from available options, simplifying the process.
A business that seeks to change how HR works
Maslow was co-developed with Diego Boryszanski. The company secured its first three clients and obtained funding from Newtopia VC in its first capital round, in addition to additional angel investors.
The company plans to expand to Mexico, Argentina and all of Latin America, and already serves clients with employees in multiple countries across the region.
